The warriors from Solz Magic Academy and Parr Warrior Academy were scheduled to compete at Palami Arena in the morning. Siltovis Magic Academy and Knight Squire Academy would take their turn in the afternoon.
The young mages still couldn't escape performing for an audience.
A young potions professor was in charge of registering the Contestants. She was the one who had spaced out during Annan's introduction the other day. Now she brought the detailed rules: each academy would select eight Contestants for four rounds of competition, and the academy that came first would advance.
Barring any surprises, after the match against Parr Warrior Academy would come the match against Siltovis Magic Academy.
Ai was one of only two junior-year Contestants. The other was Annan. There were also two middle-year students and four senior-year students. None were Elite Spellcasters.
"I'm Theophilus." A senior student came over to greet Annan. "You're the one the Dean chose?"
"I'm Annan." Annan nodded.
"Are you a Sorcerer? Your charm is astonishing." He made no attempt to hide his praise, though he seemed not to know who Annan was. "The professor said Breichim recommended you. Are you a Bloodline Sorcerer?"
"A Gifted Sorcerer."
"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow," the senior student said.
"You should arrive at Palami Arena before eight. Each match will begin with the contestants fifty yards apart on open ground. You'd best keep your distance from your opponent..."
The professor explained the rules at the front while Annan and Alice whispered at the back.
