Annan had obtained three keys: one where the forest grew thickest, one where the stream ran fastest, and one where the song rang loudest.

"What next?" he asked Farias.

"The entrance to the legacy is at the Place Watched by the Gods."

"Watched by the gods? He dared let them watch?" Annan asked in surprise. Then he guessed what the entrance was. "Does the Museum have a basement?"

"The basement is part of the Museum. There's a wine cellar museum, a specimen museum, and a dungeon museum." Farias's talent as a mage clearly lay in knowledge. He had no idea how Annan had solved the riddle.

"Let's go to the dungeon," Annan said. He followed Farias to a faded staircase leading underground.

"Watch out for Ratfolk hiding down there..."

Farias cast a Light Spell, and Annan sent a Water Elemental ahead of them. Rippling light reflected from its watery body onto the walls.

Then water suddenly burst from the waist of the Water Elemental in front. A wooden spike had pierced its body, with two filthy paws gripping the other end.

A rat that knew how to ambush its prey counted as clever among the Ratfolk.

The Water Elemental retaliated with a blade of water, slicing open the Ratfolk's throat.

The shrieking Ratfolk fell. The Water Elementals surged into the darkness, and Farias cast several more Light Spells.

Their light revealed a spacious dungeon with nothing but brick walls. Every Torture Rack once displayed there had vanished, and even the iron bars had been stripped away. Somewhere in the Old Land, a band of Ratfolk armed with Torture Racks was probably on the loose.

"Is there another riddle?"

The Dungeon Museum was larger than Annan had expected.

"This is the last one."
