Returning to the Montreal Manor felt like coming home to Annan.
Even the servants were delighted to lead him to the Old Ancestor. They had just reached the garden in bloom when Lily leaped from Annan's arms. Her nearly seven-pound body landed on the Old Ancestor's lap—

"Old Ancestor, I brought Silly Cat too." Annan looked down at the cat following close on his heels.
"Silly Cat?"
"That's what I named him."
The Old Ancestor's kindly eyes turned to the white cat. "Let me have a look at you."
"Meow!"
For some reason, Silly Cat's fur stood on end. He scrambled up Annan's Mage Robe and burrowed into his arms.
"He really is a silly cat." The Old Ancestor smiled as she stroked Lily. "Olin isn't back yet."
"I'm here for something else."
Annan took out the Magic Stone from "Annan Potter and the Magic Stone" and played it for the Old Ancestor. "I'm going to the Imperial Capital."
"Remember to take the family Carriage."
"I will."
Silly Cat clung to him so tightly that Annan had to carry him into the Carriage the servants had prepared.
