Even Mr. Fast had tried it and said he could stand it for half a day at most. Any longer, and he would get bored and quit.
An ordinary Professional could sustain eight to twelve hours of continuous training, while an ordinary person usually managed less than four.
Annan tried practicing the Breathing Method and found he simply couldn't do it... He was too accustomed to Magic Power. Forcing the Breathing Method to lock it inside his body felt like suffocating.
Night fell, but Annan stayed at the Camp and lived alongside them, though not in the same room.
Evelyn kept him company. Annan had nothing to do, while she was writing a news article.
"Where are you going?"
Near midnight, Evelyn looked up and asked as Annan pulled a Training Uniform over his Mage Robe.
"I'm going to check on the Cavalry standing guard."
"Are you staying here?"
"I said I'd eat and live alongside them. I can't just run back when it gets dark."
Besides, this was good. The City Lord's Mansion stood so high that he could easily look down over all of Free City. The camp wasn't so high. Here, he was close to his Subjects.
"Want me to come with you?"
"Can you finish your article in time?"
Evelyn glanced down at the half-written article. "No."
So Annan went out alone.
The May night air in Free City was still a little chilly. Annan passed the darkened Dormitory and reached the Camp entrance.
