Lady Fine Wine's visits to the manor grew more frequent.
That was hardly surprising. The manor belonged to the Winchester Family, after all.
But as word of Annan's presence spread through the city like a gentle breeze, Lady Fine Wine's closeness to him inevitably marked her as an ally of the Reeves Family.
On paper, one of the Twelve Kings of the North held far more power than Breeze City. But with the Reeves Family weakened and the attackers of the convoy suspected of belonging to the Olmedo Family, Lady Fine Wine's choice seemed less than wise.
One day, Lady Fine Wine arrived at the manor with a month's supply of High-Tier Magic Materials.
They were worth more than all the gifts Annan had received over the past few days combined—no less than 2,000 Gold Coin.
"How do you plan to handle these Magic Materials?" Lady Fine Wine asked. "They were sent by Augusta Olmedo."
Annan looked at Della, who had returned from inspecting the wagon.
"There's nothing wrong with them," she said.
Annan couldn't tell which of the Magic Materials were tainted and which were innocent, so he said, "Then sell them and buy the same materials again."
They would lose a little money on the exchange, but that was better than throwing them away.
Lady Fine Wine sent her people to take care of it.
Annan then asked, "How many Susan Spinning Machine have we sold?"
"Not even a hundred. Those Goblins of yours make them too slowly." Lady Fine Wine didn't understand why Annan cared so much about a few hundred Gold Coin. It wasn't a small sum, but it was nothing compared to the resources of the King of the North.
"The attack cost the Family too much..." was all Annan could say.
Annan wasn't truly
