It wasn't hard to get vampires interested in Magic Films.
Humans and vampires had similar tastes. Even the elves of the Elven Royal Court couldn't resist Magic Films, so there was no reason vampires would be any different.
Annan showed the Scarlet Queen When Freedom Knocks and explained that, after it screened, large numbers of Orcs had become distinguished guests of the City-States, while Free City's Orc population had grown by more than 3,000 percent.
Annan had made up the first part. Aside from a few ladies with unusual tastes and... Sorcerers, humans generally found Orcs' looks hard to accept. The second part was true, thanks to Orc tribes joining Free City.
After watching The Mage Tower's Fall, Betar's Redemption, and Annan Potter and the Magic Stone in succession, the Scarlet Queen agreed to let Annan try.
After all, they had no better option.
But bringing four Magic Films to the Blood Council would only win Annan an audience of vampires, not votes... So he needed to make a fifth Magic Film, this time with a vampire as its protagonist.
Annan couldn't immediately think of which film to copy. There were plenty of vampire films, but most were tangled up with werewolves... Werewolves did exist on the Allen Continent, but those hairy, evil creatures appeared only in the North. Even nobles with unusual tastes would have to keep them in ice cellars... The werewolves of the North and the vampires of the Southlands had little chance of meeting, much less any reason to hate each other.
He could replace the werewolves with Ratfolk... But if Annan dared film a romance between a Ratfolk and a vampire, the proud, vampire-supremacist Queen in the Castle would chase him down in her Wheelchair.
At last, Annan thought of Dracula: a Love story much
