The Holy Grail Knight raised his sword and led the remaining cavalry in a charge.
But few followed. Without purification, the contamination was still spreading among the soldiers.
Realizing this, the Holy Grail Knight led his men to Annan instead and asked, "Who are you?"
Two human Epics and a Legendary Lich? And they were taking their lead from the boy on the dragon's back?
"I'm Annan Levis, King of the North and lord of Free City. My companions discovered that the Ratfolk had contaminated the grain from Lesao Valley. Senior Councilor Watts sent me to warn you." Annan spoke quickly, unwilling to waste time. "But it looks like I was too late..."
"You weren't. You arrived just in time..."
The Ratfolk tribe and the humans on the front line were evenly matched. With a Legendary Mage and two Epic Mages aiding the cavalry, the Ratfolk had no hope of winning and were already preparing to retreat.
"Can we take out their chief?"
Annan had had his eye on that glittering golden Ratfolk for a while. Besides, if they were going to wipe out the threat, a dead rat was the best kind.
"We can't stop them, and they can't stop us."
Skeleton King Leonäfa spoke. His tide of Undead had only suppressed the Rat Tide for the moment.
Annan gave up on killing the tribal chief who hated him. "Forget it. Let's deal with the contamination first. Do you have any priests? Or mages skilled in Abjuration and removing curses?"
The Holy Grail Knight shook his head. "All our spellcasters have been transferred to the Fas Tundra in the kingdom's east..."
"Then I'll find a way."
The plague was clearly taking hold according to the warriors' strength. Ordinary soldiers who weren't Professionals and had eaten
