A soft female voice came from beneath a parasol by the street. A noblewoman in a billowing ruffled dress sat there, a ribbon tied around her long, curly hair.
Beneath the pearl powder on her fair face, Annan could just make out a trace of the Faceless Baron.

Annan walked over to the parasol and trailed off. Francois's outfit was astonishingly sweet, drawing repeated glances from the other customers.
"My uncle told me appearances are the best disguise. He said people think fat men are generous and approachable, while thin men are mean and cunning. Men put people on guard, while women make them lower it. That's why he always kept his weight at three hundred pounds while carrying out his schemes." Beneath the table, Francois crossed his silk-clad calves and raised his pinkie as he held his spoon. "Who would suspect a perfumed lady enjoying coffee by the street? Oink~"
A person might be given the wrong name, but never the wrong nickname. That saying seemed just as true.
"You could speak a little more normally."
Annan sat down across from Francois and glanced at a Guards passing nearby. Elf Guards would take away an elf who made advances on a boy. Would human Guards take away a creep
