The cavern-like palace was filled with a gloomy, frigid air. With a crack, God of Destruction Quitela furiously smashed a flowerpot onto the floor, his bloodshot eyes casting a cold glance at the row of people kneeling before him.
"Trash! You failed to seize even a single spot and made me lose face before Lord Zeno!"
"Lord Quitela, we have failed you." Geno knelt on one knee.
A trace of cold killing intent flashed across Quitela's face. "You couldn't even measure up to mere Universe 7. What use are you?" A purple sphere of energy condensed in his hand, countless starlike streams of light circling it.
"Destroy!"
The icy word left his mouth as Quitela unleashed God of Destruction energy at Geno. Geno had never expected his God of Destruction to turn on him so suddenly. He did not even have a chance to resist; with shock still frozen on his face, his entire body turned into fragments and vanished.
Gods of Destruction were just that sort of temperamental lot—cold, merciless, and liable to turn on others without warning. They destroyed planets and extinguished lives at every turn, with not a shred of humanity to speak of.
