Faced with Chen Cuo's sudden arrival, Zeng Bo'en grew wary, but he did not panic.

The woman in red noticed the change in Zu Zhengzhao's expression and grew puzzled.
Before she could think further, Wu Danfang, who stood opposite her, stared at Chen Cuo. His eyes suddenly lit up with delight.
"You're a member of the Southern Dynasty's Imperial Clan!"
At those words, everyone present grew excited.
"The Southern Dynasty's Imperial Clan? Your surname is Chen?" Zeng Bo'en's eyes shone. He looked at Chen Cuo as though he were a rare treasure and laughed heartily. "Then we certainly can't let you go! Men, seize him too!"
A strange look entered He Yuelai's eyes as well. She knew Zeng Bo'en meant to test him first.
Even Zu Zhengzhao looked surprised. He knew Wu Danfang came from an Aristocratic Clan south of the Yangtze, so it was no surprise that Wu had met members of the Southern Dynasty's Imperial Clan. But his benefactor belonged to it too?
As he thought this, the woman in red turned an inquiring gaze on him. How could Zu Zhengzhao possibly explain?
The Soldiers around them closed in at a brisk pace.
But Chen Cuo had no intention of getting tangled up with them. After studying Zeng Bo'en closely and hearing Wu Danfang's words, he said, "You must have left the South years ago. Otherwise, seeing me, you'd have fled at once instead of getting excited!"
