"Found him! That's the Anomaly's aura!"
In the wavering, sluggish River of Time, a beam of azure light and a beam of violet light shone against each other. Countless stars seemed to lie within them, shifting and flickering without cease. Following their own markers of the Heavenly Dao, the two lights advanced through a stretch riddled with undercurrents without losing their way.
The two great wills hidden deep within the lights watched the ripples in the river with cold detachment, glimpsing traces of the past that kept surfacing in this nearly frozen stretch.
"He's heading downstream. After fighting Guang Chengzi at the end of the Nine Hells, he must have trapped him and is now hurrying back to attain a Heavenly Dao Fruit Position while he has the chance."
The will within the azure light was steady and calm, possessed of the composure of one who had weathered all the world's storms.
"He has made his plans! All the more reason not to let him succeed. Otherwise, he'll bring endless trouble!" The will within the violet light carried an ancient aura, yet it also brimmed with a youth's vigor, a contradiction in itself. "We should go kill him!"
As the two wills spoke, they passed through layer upon layer of ripples, following the Anomaly's trail toward a point in time. Soon, though, they noticed something amiss—
The point ahead seemed engulfed by a hurricane. A black dragon's shadow coiled and circled within it, while four or five unpredictable Spirit Lights flickered nearby!
One glance was enough for the two wills to recognize the moment at which this point lay.
"How has the Anomaly returned to this moment?" Astonishment came from within the violet light.
"When the Ancestral Dragon Established a Path—when he Severed Heaven and Earth!" The azure light trembled
