Climbing the mountain had been slow, but getting down was much easier.
Pan Long circled the summit, found the steepest side of the mountain, then leaped.
His body traced a great arc through the air. Wind roared past him as he plunged straight toward the sheer cliff.
He would hit with tremendous force, and the cliff face was so steep and smooth that there was nowhere to brace himself. An ordinary person stood no chance; even an Innate Master would probably struggle to land safely. One slip on a cliff like this, combined with the force of the fall... the only question left would be how much of the corpse remained intact.
But Pan Long was no ordinary Innate Master. His body was tough enough on its own, and he had the double protection of the Most Holy Boots and Cockroach Sprint. Though he landed on a cliff face that was almost vertical, both feet touched down firmly.
Boom! The rock within several yards of his feet shattered, and cracks spread across the cliff like a spiderweb. He leaped again, dropping farther down. Countless fragments tumbled along the mountainside behind him, their roar as loud as a flash flood.
He repeated this several times. By the time Pan Long reached the foot of the mountain, a thunderous rumble sounded overhead: countless broken stones were rolling down after him.
It looked as though the mountain itself was collapsing, a sight to make anyone's heart quake.
He dodged the falling rocks and waited a long while before the last of them came down. They had piled up on the ground like a small hill.
After admiring the sight, he turned toward the forest below.
