Background and History

Pan Long is the son of Pan Lei and Ren Yue of the northern Pan Lineage. Pan Lei entrusts him with the family’s Classic of Mountains and Seas Fragment, a treasure that provides a training realm and can use stored spiritual energy to make imagined worlds and objects real 2 412. Pan Long had lived in another world before crossing into the Nine Provinces; knowledge of games from that life helps him recognize treasures and opportunities inside the Classic’s worlds 6 433.

His early travels take him beyond the Northlands with his childhood friend Han Feng. Battles in the Classic’s worlds strengthen him, while his actions against bandits establish the concealed identity One-Coin Hero 26 29 89 175. The treasure also puts him at odds with the Great Xia Dynasty, which searches for the bamboo slips connected to it 31 187.

Pan Long’s maternal family and other mentors broaden his cultivation. He studies the Ren Family’s Supreme Dao of Forgetting Emotion, names and practices Shi Gandang’s Nine-Turn Mysterious Art, and later trains under Bi Lingkong in Follow Your Heart’s Desire 114 118 276.
