Watching Thor the Thunder God move slower and slower, Pan Long felt a pang of regret. He could no longer gain anything by sparring with him.
He would never find a sparring partner this good again in his lifetime, would he?
It seemed such a shame to lose him like this.
After some thought, he found a long halberd like his opponent's and tried to learn his technique.
He had to make the most of what he had. It was rare to meet such a master; failing to squeeze every last bit of knowledge out of him would be like throwing away a treasure!
Thor the Thunder God's halberd technique was extraordinary. Even though his movements had grown quite slow, Pan Long still found them extremely difficult to learn. He kept twisting his waist or spraining his ankle, and more than once, he landed flat on his back with a thud.
Pan Long was not embarrassed. Hardship was only natural when learning martial arts. Falls and injuries... he had been through all that even when his own father taught him. Why should now be any different?
Fortunately, after just two or three days, that stopped happening. His body was strong and his aptitude excellent, so he naturally learned fast. In that short time, he had gained a basic grasp of his opponent's halberd technique.
The key to Thor the Thunder God's technique lay in rotation. He always kept a force ready to turn within the halberd's shaft, allowing him to spin the weapon whenever he needed. With a single turn, its attacks changed in countless ways, dazzling the eye and leaving an opponent unable to guard against everything.
Once Pan Long grasped this, the skill "Thor-Style Long Halberd Technique" appeared on all three of his class panels.
