His feet flashed, carrying him five or six feet aside in an instant. The torrent missed him, wrapped around a sapling by the road, ripped it up by the roots, and dragged it into the water.

A moment later, the river churned violently. An ugly man with a pitch-black head, vicious eyes, and an enormous mouth leaped out.

"Pah! Pah! Pah!" The ugly man spat out several mouthfuls of splintered wood, then glared at Pan Long. "You've got some nerve! How dare you make a fool of the Blackwater King! Do you have a death wish?"

Pan Long was baffled. "You spat out a Water Stream and ate a tree. What does that have to do with me?"

"Pah! When someone as great as this king sends out a Water Stream, naturally he's hunting for a fresh meal. If you had any sense, you'd have stood still and let me swallow you in one smooth gulp. How dare you dodge and spoil my fun!"

Pan Long had no words. That logic left him scorched black on the outside and tender on the inside.

Was there really someone in the world who thought others should obediently let him eat them? And refusing was somehow a crime?

He wasted no more breath. With a sweep of Grudge Cutter, he charged straight at the Monster calling himself the Blackwater King.

The Monster grew even angrier when Pan Long dared to attack first.

He was not from this area but from deep in the mountains. Accustomed to throwing his weight around, he needed only give an order when he wanted to eat
