Compared to the Heavenly Spear and Earthly Spear, which have bloodline requirements, this is probably the best equipment for spear-wielding classes."
Pan Long muttered to himself and set aside a long spear that glowed faintly red.
"Gale Armor. Good defense, but more importantly, it negates the bonus damage that wind magic and arrows deal to flying units. One of their most essential pieces of equipment."
As he spoke, he set a suit of light armor glowing pale blue-green beside it.
"General's Helm. Light armor with high magic defense. Perfect for lightly equipped melee units like swordsmen and flying units."
A helmet gleaming faintly gold joined the pile.
"Sky-Treading Boots. They let you ignore terrain when moving, so cavalry and flying units don't lose mobility indoors or in similar places. Essential equipment for cavalry."
The white-glowing boots went beside the rest.
These four pieces were standard gear for Enlit, the Pegasus Knight and one of the Empire's four generals. In the game, defeating him during his early appearance awarded one of them at random.
Every piece was top-notch, and all were limited in the game. There were two Hero's Spears, three each of Gale Armor and Sky-Treading Boots, and slightly more General's Helms. Including the hidden shop, players could get around twenty helms in total.
Now Pan Long had stripped every last piece off Enlit's corpse.
And Enlit had carried plenty of other valuables: a Life Talisman that could negate three critical hits, a Return Scroll that could take its user back to town, and a Life Potion that could restore a great deal of health three times.
But Pan Long cared only about the last item.
