Pan Long was not joking.
Anyone could see the murderous intent in his eyes.
Of the Tower of Babel's three leaders, the rabbit girl Chimera still looked bewildered—she could not understand how things had suddenly reached the point where they needed to kill leaders from countries and major powers around the world. But the Doctoral Researcher and the Queen understood Pan Long's resolve.
"I understand. I'll put together the list as soon as possible," the Queen said with a sigh. "It's seven in the morning. I'll have it ready by lunchtime at the latest."
Pan Long nodded. "It doesn't need to be complete at first. Start with the mobile city closest to us. Once I've dealt with that city, I'll come back for the leaders of the next one... Wouldn't that be more efficient?"
The Doctoral Researcher sighed. "How many people are you planning to kill?"
"I don't know." Pan Long shook his head. "If necessary, I don't care how many I kill. But generally speaking, killing one city lord should be more effective than killing a thousand soldiers. I'd guess five or six people per city. When you add it up, that isn't actually many."
"There are 315 mobile cities in the world." The Doctoral Researcher knew the number by heart. "Put that way, we could solve the problem by killing fewer than two thousand people. The cost almost sounds bearable..."
The Queen sneered. "Any one of those two thousand can kill hundreds or even thousands with a crook of a finger. If they had a choice, they'd probably rather let the world end than agree to die."
"Few of the mobile cities' leaders are innocent." The Doctoral Researcher gave a rueful smile. "And it isn't just them. You and I... If someone killed us for revenge, we couldn't
