Night shrouded the land, and the guest room was pitch-black.
Pan Long locked the door, latched the window, and moved the table and stools aside to clear enough space before lying down on the floor.
His figure vanished, and he entered the world of the Classic of Mountains and Seas Fragment.
With a wave of his hand, the pale void he knew all too well vanished, replaced by a vast sea of stars.
"Let's find a new world this time..." he muttered. Rather than deliberately summon one of the worlds he had visited before, he relaxed and let the countless stars drift freely until one flew over and struck him.
His vision went dark. When it brightened again, he stood at the edge of a forest.
He could see a town in the distance. Its stone walls were quite tall, and fully armed Warriors even patrolled along them. From this angle, though, he couldn't see the gate.
He activated Stealth, circled the town for a while, and found a gate.
The gate was bustling with pedestrians and carts coming and going. The Warriors guarding it looked alert and energetic, neither fierce nor dispirited. At least on the surface, there was plenty to commend about them.
Pan Long also studied the pedestrians' clothes. Then he nodded, retreated into the forest, and took a set of similar-looking clothes from his Bag of Holding to change into.
To make traveling through different worlds easier, he had prepared six or seven outfits in completely different styles. Unless a world favored particularly outlandish clothing, he could generally find something that wouldn't make people suspect he was an alien.
This outfit consisted of a sleeveless, close-fitting short robe, cropped trousers, and straw sandals. It looked rather shabby, but compared with the people entering and leaving town,
