The group trudged through the raging wind and poisonous sunlight. Overhead, the demon face, as enormous as the sun, stayed in the same place, watching them with a cold smile. They all knew it sounded absurd, yet each of them felt that someone was watching their every move.
It felt like being a white mouse in a cage, injected with some unknown drug. In the Immortal Realm, none of them would claim to rule a whole region, but each was a formidable figure in his or her own right. Even Luo Qian and Old Seventeen felt an indescribable unease creeping over them.
The enormous demon face hung strangely in the sky. No one knew when it had appeared or when it would disappear. At last, the Yin-Yang Daoist could bear it no longer. He stopped, braced himself against the furious wind, and pointed at the face. "You Demon Beast! If you've got the guts, come down and fight your Daoist master for three hundred rounds! We'll see who falls! Why hide up there sneering and playing empty tricks to frighten us?"
Luo Qian felt a little worried. For all the bravado in the Yin-Yang Daoist's words, it was plain that he had no confidence at all. His temperament simply would not let him endure it in silence.
The Yin-Yang Daoist cursed and jabbed his finger at the sky, but the demon face did not react. It still loomed high above them, its mouth still turned down in what looked like a cold smile. Its lack of response only stoked his anger. "Hah! Your Daoist master will shoot you down. Let's see if you dare keep smiling then!"
