Hua Shiwei returned to the Clear Xiang Aristocratic Clan with Luo Qian, her face brimming with murderous intent. To her surprise, two Female Sword Cultivators in blue robes stopped them at the gate, stretching out their arms to block Luo Qian. Hua Shiwei glared. "Let him in!" But the clan guards, who usually obeyed her every command, stood firm. "Miss, the Second Elder has ordered us never to allow Luo Qian into the Clear Xiang Aristocratic Clan." Hua Shiwei snapped, "She let the Lin Household into the Mine, but I can't bring one person through the gate?" Neither cultivator yielded. "Miss, please don't make this difficult for us." Hua Shiwei lost her temper. Grabbing Luo Qian's arm, she pulled him forward. "I'm bringing him in today. Which of you dares stop me?" The two women exchanged a glance and said together, "Forgive us, Miss..."
Clang! Clang! Two swords leaped from their sheaths with dragonlike cries. Their blades flashed coldly as they circled overhead, watching Luo Qian like venomous snakes. If he took one step into the Clear Xiang Aristocratic Clan, they plainly meant to leave his blood spattered across the ground. Luo Qian saw the trap: if he forced his way in, he would be the one trespassing, and a rightful grievance would become his wrongdoing.
