"Huh, brother, did that man hear us? Why did he change his mind so suddenly?" Luo Qian glanced sideways. Two figures stood nearby, much like humans in shape, except for the Butterfly-like wings on their backs and faces that also resembled Butterflies. He could only faintly make out their eyebrows, noses, and eyes.

The woman was slender. Her wings fluttered behind her, holding her half aloft, while her toes touched the ground lightly again and again, like a dragonfly skimming water. The man seemed far more composed. A chill radiated from him, and his wings were folded against his back as he stood firmly on the ground.

"Of course that fool heard you," Luo Qian said, turning around. The Butterfly girl froze, and pink spread across her patterned face. "Sorry. We didn't mean any harm." The man gave Luo Qian a cold look and said to his sister, "What are you apologizing for? He is a fool." Anger rose in Luo Qian's chest, but he kept his patience. "May I ask if you know what Elf Treehouse seeds are used for?"

"Of course we do. We're from the Elf World." Quick-tongued girls often let secrets slip. The man shot his sister a displeased glare, and she pouted. Luo Qian paused. Weren't Elves supposed to have pointed ears and big eyes, with even the men prettier than human women?

The girl clearly guessed what he was thinking. She smiled and said, "There are many kinds of Elves. We're Butterfly Elves born in the Elf World. There are also Plant Elves, Animal Elves, and others. You could say the Elf World has the most numerous and varied peoples of all the Lower Realms."
