Luo Qian found it all rather dull. Showing off like this was no fun at all. For a lion, showing off among other lions might feel wonderful. But showing off among sheep—or even mice—was as tasteless as chewing wax. A cat could handle a pack of mice. If a lion leaped among them and pretended to be a cat, that was no longer showing off. That was making a fool of himself.

Pale, Luo Qian glanced at the Kunlun disciples on the ground. Once outside Kunlun Mountain, any one of them could shake the Cultivation Realm. If they wished, the government would spare no effort to recruit them. Yet here they knelt at his feet, as meek as concubines longing for an emperor's favor. The emperor, unfortunately, found them dull. Luo Qian sighed. Painted beauties of the common sort. None of you pleases Us.

What he had expected to be an entertaining trip to the lower world had suddenly lost its flavor. Luo Qian shook his head in puzzlement and beckoned. The mighty Kunlun Leader rose into the air, powerless to resist. A sphere of blue light enclosed them, hiding their conversation from everyone below. The disciples saw only their leader looking bewildered and shaking his head again and again, while the exalted Immortal looked disappointed.

Luo Qian was disappointed indeed. The mighty Kunlun School knew nothing about the Fourth-Level World. On reflection, though, he understood: if anyone in the Cultivation Realm knew of it, word would have reached him in the Immortal Realm. The absence of any such rumor meant cultivators knew nothing of a world even lower than their own.

If Luo Qian had not used the World God's Nest and seen its benefits for himself, he might have begun to doubt that the Fourth-Level World even existed.
