"Oh?" Tang Changsheng gave a faint response and said nothing more.

His silence put Natasha under enormous pressure. "It's true! I can help you subdue these Ghost Soldiers. If they're beneath your notice, I can provide intelligence. I can do anything!"

"Then tell me. How can you help me subdue them?" Tang Changsheng finally asked.

Natasha hurried to answer. "I'm Cortos's adviser, and I have his War Banner. With it, you can command these Ghost Soldiers! I'll offer it to you, great one. I only ask that you forgive me and let me become your most loyal servant!"

"Then bring it out, if it really works," Tang Changsheng said.

Natasha was overjoyed. Beings of Tang Changsheng's stature, unless they were chaotic Malicious Ghosts or Demons, generally took their promises very seriously.

Even though Tang Changsheng had not agreed outright, he would find it hard to burn the bridge after crossing it.

That was how things worked. The higher a person's standing, the less readily they made promises, and the less readily they broke them—unless the temptation was simply too great to resist.

Keeping their word was part of what gave them their standing. Breaking it at will would only hollow out their own foundations.

Sure enough, Natasha produced a War Banner and offered it up eagerly. "Master, only a great being can wield this War Banner!"

Tang Changsheng took the War Banner. A venomous dragon, claws spread and fangs bared, was embroidered on the black cloth. It looked strangely familiar.

Something stirred in his mind. He waved the War Banner, sending a powerful force sweeping across the entire Battlefield.
