The Investigator froze.
"No warrant, and you barged into someone's home? Fine, it's a hotel room. We have every reason to believe he came in to steal something!"
"You!" The Investigator huffed with fury.
The older Investigator, on the other hand, calmed down and realized they were in trouble. In North America, private property was sacred and inviolable.
Without a Search Warrant, even an Investigator who trespassed on private property would have only himself to blame if he was shot dead.
He knew he could not keep arguing that point. His expression turned stern. "Mr. Tang Changsheng, we suspect you're connected to a series of murders. Please come with us."
"A series of murders? What case?"
"What case? Still trying to deny it? The one at the Glass Palace. Three more people died last night. Don't think we didn't know you sneaked out." The Investigator spoke indignantly.
