Black Whirlwind felt a moment of disorientation. Fog still hung in the air, but it had thinned considerably.
More importantly, the streetlights cast only a murky yellow glow, yet the sight of them was strangely reassuring.
He could see everything around him clearly now. Where was the vast, empty road that had seemed like something out of a dream?
A Chariot stood a dozen or so meters ahead. Tang Changsheng got out and strode toward it.
The Chariot's doors opened, and Arabella and Ling Xiaoyu stepped out to greet him.
The moment the two striking beauties appeared, Black Whirlwind fell speechless. His eyes went wide!
"All right, it's over. There's no danger now. You can head back. Here's my number—give me a call sometime!"
Tang Changsheng gave Black Whirlwind the phone number he had used in Lufadan, then sent the talkative wanderer on his way.
That was rare for him. Tang Changsheng seemed mild and easygoing, but he thought highly of himself and seldom gave anyone his number unprompted.

Before he could say more, a fragrant breeze swept toward him as Ling Xiaoyu threw herself into his arms. "Master, I knew you'd come back to save us..."
Tang Changsheng gently patted Ling Xiaoyu's back. "I'm glad you're safe."
Another fragrant breeze followed as Arabella flung herself into Tang Changsheng's arms too. "We were terrified. We almost thought we'd never see you again..."
From a distance came Black Whirlwind's whistle. He gave Tang Changsheng a thumbs-up, then turned his Chariot around and drove away!
"Who was that?" Ling Xiaoyu asked.
"A friend." Tang Changsheng turned to them, exasperated. "Why did you come back to Pale Blue Castle at a time like this and add to the trouble?"
"Something's happened at Pale Blue Castle again.
