They were three fat, spotted Mountain wildcats, each nearly the size of a small dog. Their coats were sleek and glossy, and they had a wild, fierce air about them. They were no longer the adorable little creatures they had once been.
It seemed they had not seen Tang Changsheng for some time. The three circled him for a while, looking puzzled, as if they no longer quite recognized him.
Just then, Wu Shulan heard the commotion and came out. At her call, the three wildcats raced over and gathered around her feet.
As she greeted them, Wu Shulan said excitedly, "Sect Leader, you're finally back! You were in seclusion for over a month this time, weren't you?"
Tang Changsheng smiled faintly. "My cultivation made some progress during this seclusion. By the way, where's Da Xiang? Nothing happened on the Mountain, did it?"
