The Goddess of Wisdom, Athena?
Archimedes instinctively looked where Prometheus was looking. Then his mind began racing.
Athena had been hiding here all along? Why? What was she planning?
As a Politician who had survived countless plots and risen over the bodies of his enemies, Archimedes had a keen nose for political intrigue.
Athena was one of the Twelve Olympians, the Goddess of Wisdom prophesied to replace Zeus. Now she had appeared before Prometheus, whom the gods had punished and who was said to be the wisest among them. The implications were chilling.
"Greetings, great Fire-Bringer, Creator of Humanity, Prophet Prometheus." A beautiful goddess in armor stepped out of the dazzling light and paid her respects to the Giants who had once been imprisoned but had now broken free.
Though Athena was called the embodiment of wisdom among the Olympian Gods, every human and god knew that Prometheus was the wisest of them all.
"Heh. What brings you to a prisoner like me?" Prometheus smiled faintly, a hint of mockery in his voice.
Everyone present understood. Anyone imprisoned and tortured for thousands of years would have little affection for those responsible.
Athena did not mind. A faint smile touched her lips. "Lord Prometheus, what do you think of my father?"
"You want to replace him?" Prometheus fixed his abyss-deep gaze on Athena.
"Yes!"
Athena made no attempt to hide her ambition. "My father Zeus is cowardly, timid, and Greed and incompetent. When Typhon reawakened, he dared not face him. He hid on Mount Olympus and waited for an angel from the Outer Realm to destroy him. Yet when the Otherworldly Gods tempted him, he led the gods into another god's realm without hesitation and nearly got them all killed there."
