In the conference room, a diplomat blurted out the words. The other diplomats nodded in unison.
Though Vidar, God of the Forest, was one of the two gods prophesied by Great Odin to lead humanity in rebuilding its home, he held no particularly lofty rank in Norse Mythology. The Twelve Chief Gods, the Giants who fought the gods, and the ancient Gods of the Dead Kingdom in the Underworld all outranked him.
Among the Cthulhu Evil Gods, Ubbo-Sathla was an Outer God whose rank was surpassed by few beyond Azathoth and the Three Pillar Gods.
By that measure, Vidar was unquestionably the lesser of the two.
Yet he had just told Ubbo-Sathla to get out. His tone suggested he held no fear of that terrifying Evil God.
"That sounds a little like Lucifer. Could he be planning to impersonate Vidar, God of the Forest, take up the destiny of the newborn gods, and establish a new Pantheon in the New World?"
A Greek Theologian who had stayed in the conference room began to ponder the idea.
