Fiona Russell felt the waves of magical energy radiating through the Void. She glanced around and grew a little embarrassed. Everyone else was fighting their hardest, while she was just hanging back and playing support.
Beside her, the former Dusk God, now known as the God of Victory, was fighting the God of War.
Unlike the other gods' battles, theirs was not a direct clash. They sent the soldiers under their command to slaughter one another in the Void.
Across from the God of War, the God of Victory deployed masses of tanks, warships, aircraft, and even a Plane-level Planet fortress. Cannons roared, lasers guided their targets, and energy beams struck with precision.
These machines were weapons of future technology created by the God of Machinery and Industry after he used divination to obtain their blueprints. The Planet fortress was the greatest of them all.
After divining its blueprints, the God of Machinery and Industry spent decades building it with the support of many gods. As soon as it was completed, the God of Victory used it to destroy the Lord of Slime, Jubilex, along with the Abyss layer he ruled, the Amoeba Sea.
Energy beams swept back and forth from the fortress like electrified nets dragged through the sea. Wherever they passed, Angels shattered into particles in an instant.
But no matter how thoroughly the Angels were destroyed, they revived in a flash of white light as soon as the beams passed.
They were like players in a Game. No matter how many times their characters died, they could always try again.
Once revived, the Angels joined forces and cast a divine spell, forming a great sword of white flame that they hurled at the fortress.
The sword pierced the Planet fortress's outer energy defenses
