After some trial and error, Chen Shu finally got the hang of it.
Rising with the Wind could easily push his flying speed past two hundred kilometers per hour, while consuming slightly less Spirit Power than the Cloud-Sky Art at that speed. Its normal cruising speed was around one hundred fifty kilometers per hour, though it consumed more Spirit Power than the Cloud-Sky Art did at the same speed. At cruising speed, the two did not feel very different; Rising with the Wind was just louder and drained Spirit Power faster. The world was vast, and he was free to fly.
The real differences lay in acceleration and turning.
Rising with the Wind accelerated so quickly that takeoff felt nothing like it did with the Cloud-Sky Art.
Turning was an even bigger difference.
Rising with the Wind turned fiercely. It could exert as much force sideways as its maximum thrust, enough to send someone sliding straight across the air at high speed. He had to control his Spirit Power whenever he turned, or the violent change in direction would be unbearable. But once a flyer adapted and mastered the trick, he would become extraordinarily agile.
His Spirit Power was almost spent.
Chen Shu traced a semicircle through the air, then stopped above the clouds. Looking down, he felt as though he were the master of heaven and earth.
Even a god couldn't be much more than this, could he?
The next second, he cut off his Spirit Power.
A powerful sensation of weightlessness struck him at once.
Chen Shu dropped straight down. The Sea of Clouds rushed toward him again, expanding from solid cotton into insubstantial mist. His body tumbled into the boundless clouds. One moment, his eyes held an endless blue sky; the next, mist rapidly blurred it, then
