When Chen Shu walked out of the teaching building, he found a brand-new Mini Motorcycle parked outside the corridor.
A young girl in a half-helmet sat on it, her head turned as she stared straight at him. Her face was only a little fuller than her sister's, but the helmet made it look much rounder. Her cheeks were fair and soft, the sort that made him want to pinch them.
Though it was late autumn, the girl wasn't dressed warmly.
She wore loose, wide-legged jeans and canvas shoes, with just a white T-shirt and an overshirt on top. The wind lifted the hem of her shirt.
Whether it was the girl or the Mini Motorcycle drawing attention, passersby kept glancing her way.
"Brother-in-law! I came to pick you up after class!"
Chen Shu couldn't help smiling when he heard her. He walked over and said, "So now it's your turn to pick me up after class..."
"Yes."
As the girl answered, a tiny smile appeared on her face.
In fact, her smiles were even rarer than her sister's.
Chen Shu's smile widened. He looked down at her motorcycle.
"How did you get your motorcycle back?"
"Guess."
"Did your sister finish repairing Double Sorrow?"
"No."
"Did you apologize to your sister and say nice things to her?"
"Nope."
"Then did your sister go soft on you?"
"She wouldn't."
"Then what happened?"
"I thought of a way myself."
"What way?"
"When my sister wasn't home, I cracked the lock."
"Oh..."
Chen Shu drew out the word. He understood. It looked as though the younger sister was good with her hands, but really, the older sister had let her off the hook.
The girl reached into her pants pocket and felt around for something. Before he could ask, she pulled out a lollipop.
