In his dorm room, Chen Shu turned on his computer.
Then he opened Myriad.
It was a spell-design aid developed by the Spirit Sect, and one of the most professional tools of its kind in the world. Ridiculous as it sounded, even Chen Shu, the esteemed Spirit Sect Saint Son, had to pay a hefty annual subscription to use it.
"Time to work!"
Chen Shu was fired up for once.
Based on the performance requirements, he first sorted out his approach to designing the spell, wrote it down, and pinned it to a floating window on the right.
Then he drafted a rough design process.
And settled on the spell's overall structure.
From his conversations with Teacher Shi Qian, Chen Shu had learned that all the major powers were researching ways for Spirit Power Secondary Cannon projectiles to intercept targets automatically. In Great Yi alone, several weapons research laboratories were working on it. Each had made different progress and achieved different results, using a wide range of techniques with their own strengths and weaknesses. For now, no "Gu King" had fought its way out of the pack.
Chen Shu thought it would be difficult.
A Spirit-Sensing Mine could sense an enemy and fly toward them because it was a physical object. Besides its combat unit, it had plenty of sensors to guide it, along with dedicated Rune arrays to provide propulsion and steering. A Tracer Technique projectile, however, was pure Spirit Power. Its main abilities were flight and detonation. It also had a few minor properties that maintained and stabilized its trajectory, but those were properties, not functions. It had neither precise sensing nor the ability to turn.
Naturally, making a projectile of pure Spirit Power do the same thing would require a different approach from the Spirit-Sensing Mine.
