Her childhood in that Nameless Small Mountain Village was the first half of her life.
After her brother died, she left home and set foot in the Great Thousand World. That was the second half.
Without a doubt, she missed the first half of her life. She missed it deeply.
Even the years after the Feathered Divine Dynasty took her brother away, when she did not see him at all, belonged to that first half she held dear.
Because although she could not see her brother then, he was still alive.
Her brother's life and death marked the divide between the two halves of her life. It was the turning point.
She was full of feeling for that first half.
In those days—and even when she thought back on them—she was not the lofty Ruthless Great Emperor before whom deities bowed their heads. She was a little girl.
Her feelings, her emotions, had all remained in that time, trapped forever in that small mountain village. They could not leave, and she did not want them to.
At least during the years Ruthless spent undergoing transformation in the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, all her feelings remained in days long past.
As for what came later, that was harder to say.
Leaving her Legacy to the descendants of the small mountain village and forging the Dragon-Patterned Black Gold Cauldron for the Yaoguang Holy Land were both expressions of Ruthless's feelings.
If she had not still yearned for those days, had not remained trapped there, and had viewed the village's descendants solely as the Ruthless Great Emperor,
she would never have left them the Heaven-Swallowing Demonic Art, the Indestructible Heavenly Art, or an Emperor Weapon.
