Does Heaven Know?

Profound Xuanhuang Merit descended, its mysterious aura drawing every human and beast's gaze.

Meng Chuan smiled as the largest cluster of Merit fell onto his head and entered his body. A profound feeling of joy and freedom rose within him.

A cluster roughly a tenth or two-tenths the size of Meng Chuan's Merit entered Bibi Dong. Her cheeks flushed as she looked at him excitedly. The moment the Merit entered her body, she knew what it was.

Another cluster of Merit, roughly a tenth or two-tenths the size of Bibi Dong's, split in two and entered Hei Fu and Yue Mingshang. The two youngsters, who had only just opened their Bitter Seas, grew dizzy and looked at Meng Chuan with worship in their eyes.

One last cloud of Merit remained in Heaven, a tenth or two-tenths of what Hei Fu and Yue Mingshang had received. It descended upon the Spirit Beasts that had stayed to hear Meng Chuan finish expounding the Great Dao.

It was Righteousness that the Great Dao opened up a new Heaven and Earth, and Merit descended upon those who walked its path.

Meng Chuan briefly sensed the Xuanhuang Merit within him and the Great Dao of this world, now renewed and bearing his mark. He smiled in deep satisfaction.

So-called Heavenly Dao Merit existed in virtually every world above a certain level. But if you made no great contribution that benefited all of Heaven and Earth, who would hand it to you for nothing?
