The man wore a hopelessly wrinkled red-and-blue bodysuit, the spider emblem on his chest worn down to half an outline.

His mask had been pulled down beneath his chin, revealing a young face with scraggly stubble and high cheekbones. Heavy dark circles ringed his eyes, and a layer of white skin flaked from his cracked lips.

Specially made inhibitor cuffs were fastened around his wrists and ankles, their surfaces densely engraved with microscopic runes that glowed a very faint blue.

The Tobey version of Spider-Man, Peter Parker.

Yongye crouched beside the bed, studying him with his head tilted.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You're doing even worse... than I was before I transmigrated!"

Peter Parker's eyelids twitched.

He opened his eyes groggily, mumbling before his pupils had even focused, "...Uncle Ben, just five more minutes."

"The grass on your Uncle Ben's grave is probably six feet tall by now."

Peter's eyes snapped open.

He stared at Yongye crouching beside the bed for two seconds, then sprang a foot and a half off the bed as though launched by a spring. The inhibitor cuffs on his wrists yanked him back, and he slammed onto the bed with a smack, wrenching a tortured creak from its iron legs.

"How could you do this! You're Superheroes! Don't destroy..."

"Quiet."

Yongye raised a finger.

Chakra erupted, filling the entire cellar!

Sharingan, activated.

Three tomoe spun in his pupils, joining into a dark red blur. Ripples of genjutsu spread silently, enveloping Peter Parker.

Peter's agonized wail caught in his throat.

His pupils lost focus for an instant, then slowly focused again. Beneath that focus surged a torrent of memories forcibly dragged to the surface.

Yongye leaned against the bedside, hands in his pockets, and leisurely began watching the show.

Images flowed from Peter's memories, frame by frame.
