Selina clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white.
She looked down at her empty right palm. A Grappling Hook should have been there, but there was nothing.
Last night's scenes raced through her mind like film on fast-forward: she walked out from behind the blinds, prepared to make her move again and again, thought wait a little longer each time, and then came that overwhelming, irresistible feeling...
In the end, she was too exhausted and fell into a deep sleep.

Selina spun toward the door, her heels striking the floor in a rapid series of taps. She paused at the threshold and glanced back, the morning light pouring through the window outlining her profile in cold white.
