The Lord of Humanity never slept.
The murmured, pious prayers of the masses reached His ears, the letters like threads of gold winding around the figure upon the throne, weaving a cloak and shaping shackles.
Yet He deemed it merely ordinary.

Hades departed righteously and unbothered. The Lord of Humanity closed His eyes once more, casually casting away a fraction of the chaotic faith accumulated through the day. The Underking lived within the Imperial Palace; he no longer required His tokens.
The shedding of chaotic faith left the Lord of Humanity feeling a wave of weakness, but His hand, loosely gripping the armrest of the Golden Throne, remained composed.
