That was what happened. Because I'd been obsessing over the plot all day, my brain completely short-circuited and I missed the exam notice for one of my major courses. Now I have seventy-two hours to speedrun an entire extremely difficult math-related course, plus a major course hailed as the foremost of our department's Four Great Remedial Courses—and take an English final somewhere within those seventy-two hours too.
Little Lantern is currently a junior, at a fairly crucial point for grades, so he really can't treat these exams too casually.
So I'm applying to take leave until January 4.
Before my roommate saved me, I'd been thinking about what bonus chapter to post for New Year's Day to earn double monthly tickets. Well, now I'm making a hasty retreat and taking leave instead.
