[Tang Hao: No matter how strong you are, can you come to the Douluo Continent and throw your weight around?
So what if your weapons are powerful and your strength is immense?
Titled Douluo are still the strongest fighters here. One strike from my hammer, and I guarantee anything you put in front of me will be reduced to ashes!]
Tang San, standing beside Tang Hao, thought for a moment and understood what his father was trying to do. He hurried to back him up.
[Tang San: Exactly! My father is the Clear Sky Douluo, renowned across the Douluo Continent, a powerhouse with a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring!
The likes of you probably couldn't even touch the hem of his robe!]
[Dai Mubai: The Clear Sky Douluo is mighty! What good does all your boasting do?
We aren't even on the same continent. You can boast to the heavens, but you still can't do a thing to us!]
[Yu Xiaogang: My idol, that was incredible!
You all heard him, didn't you? Don't think the Douluo Continent is easy to bully!]
[Yu Xiaogang: Countless powerhouses stand guard over the Douluo Continent, and we have two great empires. Why would we fear your measly Northern Underworld Empire?]
Those words set the people of the Douluo Continent ablaze. They clamored in the Bullet Comments, sounding thoroughly confident.
After all, the two places were more than a hundred thousand miles apart. The Northern Underworld Empire could be as powerful as it liked; what did that have to do with them?
Why should they care how strong the other side was? They would never meet in their lifetimes anyway. If those people had the nerve, let them come and fight!
Hearing this, several ministers of the Northern Underworld Empire exchanged glances, then looked toward Bei Mingxue.
Di Huaiying stroked his beard and smiled. "Your Majesty, it seems they haven't understood a thing."
General Long Wei rolled his wrists and sneered. "How could those country bumpkins have any idea what we're capable of?"
Qiu Beiling turned away, clasped his hands behind his back, and sighed with a shake of his head. "Compared with the people of the Sun Moon Continent, those on the Douluo Continent are truly set in their ways. Stubborn and hidebound, though they certainly talk tough."
"Hmph!"
Bei Mingxue gave a cold snort. "They probably don't even know that in three days, the Northern Underworld Continent will border the Douluo Continent. Yet here they are, talking big."
"Those few Titled Douluo wouldn't even be enough to fill the gaps between my teeth!"
General Long Wei sneered. "My brothers and I have been itching to use our blades for ages. Once we land, that damned Tang Hao will be the first one we deal with!"
"General Long Wei is right!"
Just then, a general in armor strode over. "Your Majesty, I have completed my patrol. All is well!"
"Rise, Yuanfang."
Bei Mingxue raised a hand, beckoning him over.
"Yes."
Li Yuanfang rose and stood beside Elder Di with a smile. "Everyone, I saw everything that happened. One look at those fellows tells me they're the sort of aristocratic brats who are set in their ways."
"I've had the misfortune of meeting people like them. There's no changing their kind! Only after they've been beaten until it hurts, beaten until they're afraid, will they reflect on themselves even a little!"
"General Li is right!"
Bei Mingxue nodded. "The nobles of the Douluo Continent have long been used to covering the sky with one hand. They're arrogant and overbearing, and they look down on everyone."
"It's time they were taught a lesson!"
"Your Majesty is wise!"
[Bei Mingxue: You seem awfully arrogant. In three days, I'll have a surprise for you. Look forward to it.]
[Tang Hao: Anyone can talk big. If you have the nerve, tell us where the Northern Underworld Continent is, and we'll pay you a visit ourselves!]
That was right. Everything Tang Hao had said earlier had been groundwork for this. He had belittled them to provoke them, then asked for their location while they were furious. That would greatly improve his chances of getting an answer.
[Bei Mingxue: I don't think that will be necessary. In three days, when the surprise arrives, you'll find out where the Northern Underworld Continent is.]
[Tang Hao: Oh? Could it be that you're afraid? After talking so big, don't end up lifting a stone only to drop it on your own foot!]
Reading Bei Mingxue's words, Tang Hao grew anxious. He thought she might have seen through his plan, so he tried to stoke the fire further and make her angry.
The younger members of Shrek—Dai Mubai, Tang San, Oscar, and the others—also spoke up in support of Tang Hao, mocking Bei Mingxue with all they had.
Bibi Dong and the others, however, suddenly had a bad feeling, as though something terrible was about to happen in three days.
"Why did my heart suddenly start pounding?"
Bibi Dong gently pressed a hand to her chest. Her heart was racing, much faster than usual.
She was a Limit Douluo who had received the Rakshasa God's inheritance. For something like this to happen to her was no ordinary matter. It was a warning.
"..."
Bibi Dong slowly exhaled. Gripping her scepter tightly, she struggled to think it through.
The Douluo Continent itself could not have caused this dread. She was certain no one there could make her feel this way.
Then the Northern Underworld Continent had to be the cause.
"But why?"
Bibi Dong racked her brains without finding an answer. The two sides were hundreds of millions of kilometers apart. If the Northern Underworld Empire launched an overseas expedition, it could not even maintain its supply lines, let alone wage a war.
So why did she feel so uneasy?
She was not alone. The priests of the two Gods on the Douluo Continent felt the same thing.
"Angel God above, please send down your divine decree."
Qian Daoliu knelt before the Angel God Statue, but even after a long while, the Angel God had not sent down a single word.
"How could this be..."
Qian Daoliu looked up in disbelief and murmured to himself.
Sea God Island
"What is going on?"
Bo Saixi was in a panic. The Sea God Scepter nearly slipped from her grasp and fell to the ground.
"High Priest, what's wrong?"
Sea Dragon Douluo, standing nearby, noticed that something was amiss and hurriedly asked her.
"Quick, quick!"
Bo Saixi, usually so composed, could barely get her words out.
Just moments ago, the statue of Poseidon, the Sea God, had suddenly glowed, and a vision had appeared in Bo Saixi's mind.
The vision first settled on the Douluo Continent. Then it zoomed farther and farther out, until she saw that colossal mass.
It was another supercontinent, comparable in size to the Douluo Continent. Across its mountains, forests, and snowy plains, countless Soul Beasts roared.
Countless cities stood upon its land. Within them were vast numbers of Soul Tools, while surging energy swirled around their walls, radiating power and majesty.
But that alone was not enough to inspire fear. What was truly terrifying was that, in the vision, the continent was alive!
The giant continent plunged through the ocean, cleaving the waters and raising waves ten thousand meters high. It shattered the reefs around it, carving out a sea route by sheer force!
That was right. This little-known continent was advancing like an enormous ship, riding the towering waves at a speed that looked slow but was, in truth, terrifying.
And the image showed that the Northern Underworld Continent's destination was the Douluo Continent!
