Chapter 987: Theater
Arantida slowly raised her head.
"Anything that can kill a Chelated Being can kill Quicksilver Needles too."
Twenty minutes before the fairy-tale play began, Eucali and her group arrived at the opera house entrance. A young mother stood by the roadside with three children. The moment she saw Eucali, she waved to her. She had already collected the accompanying tickets using the children's tickets. Though accompanying tickets theoretically had to be paired with the main tickets to enter, all they had to do at the gate was tell the ticket inspector, "I came in through another entrance earlier. I just went out to use the restroom," and they could get in with the accompanying tickets alone.
Eucali gratefully accepted the tickets and handed them out to the Quicksilver Needles behind her. Ende clutched hers in her hand and excitedly waved it over her head. When several children passed by, they could not help finding it strange and gave her a few extra looks.
"This is my first time entering a theater!" Ende said excitedly. "I've only ever been to movie theaters before—"
Zoe laughed. "What nonsense? We've gone into theaters together several times."
"I mean, this is my first time entering a theater to watch a performance." Ende lowered her hands. "Anyway, I'm very happy!"
"What's tonight's play about—"
"Don't say it!!" Ende immediately covered her ears. "I don't want to hear!"
Laughing, the group climbed the steps leading to the theater's west entrance.
This was Eucali's first time entering a real grand theater as well. She followed behind Victoria, wanting to see what everyone else did, but Victoria seemed to be watching and imitating the other audience members too.
"I guess we scan our tickets at those gates over there first," Eucali said, pointing to
