Hello, everyone! (*≧ω≦)
After collecting the brilliant idea of "using Teacher GPT to identify usernames and hold a giveaway," I finally had time to put it into practice perfectly today!
Lunar New Year's Eve leave note: Teacher Lester
International Women's Day leave note: Teacher Shan Liang De Ren
Moving leave note: Shi A Yu Shi Bu Shi A Yu and Teacher Hyva
Thank you all for your patient waiting.
Also, since I need to go out of town early next month to handle some paperwork for my daughter, please allow me to take another week off. Updates will resume punctually at 7:00 a.m. on May 6.
This time, I'll be giving away Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity.
I strongly recommend this book.
My new home has a very beautiful little garden, with flowers blooming there at every moment. When I arrived at the end of January, there were roses, then daisies, dandelions, followed by daffodils, forget-me-nots, cornflowers, and some little flowers I couldn't name. A week and a half ago, two trees I couldn't identify also blossomed, and these past two days, it has been the Purple Iris's turn.
The former landlady had arranged her yard with wonderful layers, so that from January through June every year, different flowers would bloom in succession. Such careful timing showed just how much thought she had put into it.
That was also why I chose this book for this leave-note giveaway—the old house my family and I bought had stairs that were too steep, so steep that my former landlady, a woman in her eighties, had struggled to manage daily life. In the end, she could only give up the garden she had lovingly tended and move into a retirement apartment.
