Chapter 1201
Hesta slapped a fist into her palm—she had nearly forgotten about it, though she had vaguely felt that there was still something she needed to do.
She immediately quickened her pace toward the Heart-to-Heart Salon. After taking a dozen or so steps, she realized Lairin had not followed.
"Aren't you coming?" Hesta turned back.
"I need to stop by Pakart and the others' old house first. Stella has something she needs a hand with—I won't be long. We'll be over soon," Lairin said, waving. "See you in a bit!"
"Mm, see you in a bit."
Lairin soon arrived at her destination.
Perhaps because most people had moved to the palace by now, the wooden house that had survived the last arson attack seemed somewhat lonely in the night. From afar, Lairin saw a light on in a room on the eastern side of the second floor. It was the only lit place in the entire building, so Stella was probably there.
Lairin went upstairs and soon heard a steady knocking sound, as if someone were smashing a stamp down on a tabletop with repeated thunks.
She pushed open the half-closed door. "What are you doing?"
Without turning around, Stella said, "Come help me!"
Only then did Lairin see what Stella was doing—she was holding a palm-sized rubber stamp and pressing it onto a stack of white cardstock.
"I'll handle the stamping. You help write the names, on the stack to my right..." Stella stood beside the table and gestured with her chin. "The list is next to it. Just write each child's name in order. These are props Pakart needs tonight, and I forgot about them!"
Lairin lowered her head and examined the paper. The stamp had left behind grid-like patterns. "...What are these for?"
"They're for
