Kiki walked over and sat beside Eucali. Eucali glanced at her, and the two exchanged a smile without saying anything.
After a while, someone else came running over and sat beside Kiki—it was Stella.
"What sauce did you get?" Stella curiously looked at the cups in the other two girls' arms. She quickly discovered that their cups contained the same thing as hers: dark brown barbecue sauce. With a sigh, she lifted the lid and poured all the sauce over her salad.
Only then did Kiki realize that Stella was sitting beside her. Her face suddenly reddened in the night breeze, and she became awkward.
"You okay?" Stella's gaze shifted to Eucali. "I hardly heard you speak on the way here. Where's your friend? Why isn't she here?"
"She went to look for the restroom," Eucali said. "She should be back soon."
Stella gave a soft snort.
