Electrolux Asked to Move In! Wang Dong Moved In by Force

The appearance of the gray, translucent figure left Lu Yi rooted to the spot.

He recognized him at once. It was Electrolux, who had slipped into his mind earlier. They had met once before, though Lu Yi had thought he was dreaming at the time.

But how had Electrolux appeared here?

Electrolux, meanwhile, seemed surprised by Lu Yi's reaction.

Upon entering this space, even his desperately weakened soul had stabilized.

Anyone capable of constructing such a space in the Sea of Consciousness must have noticed his presence long ago. Why, then, did Lu Yi look so startled?

Still, as a guest, Electrolux spoke first. "My name is Electrolux. You may call me Elder Yi. I am a remnant soul from another world, and I have been residing in your Sea of Consciousness to recuperate. I sensed a fluctuation of the soul just now, so I took the liberty of disturbing you."

With that, his deathly still gaze settled on Lu Yi.

Despite Electrolux's stare, Lu Yi felt nothing like being seen through. The man seemed to be waiting for an answer.

"Hello, I'm Lu Yi. I'm from another world too." Electrolux gave a slight nod but continued to wait, so Lu Yi went on. "There's plenty of room here. If you'd like to stay, that's fine. But I only have the right to enter this space. I'm afraid it might close when I leave, and I can't guarantee your safety."

Lu Yi didn't want anything to happen to Electrolux. If he waited a year and found a way to obtain the Gold of Life, Electrolux could enter it safely and nurture his soul. There was no need to take this risk.

Electrolux smiled. He had heard the kindness in Lu Yi's words, but his gaze fell on the Wooden Door behind him.

"You're right. This space does seem temporary, but it's different beyond that door. I can sense that it's quite stable." As he spoke, Electrolux pointed toward the unremarkable Wooden Door.

"Then no problem!" Since Electrolux had said so, Lu Yi didn't object. He turned and pushed the door open again. "Come in!"

Electrolux thanked him, but his spirit floated up and passed through the thick stone wall instead. A moment later, he appeared inside the Library.

The sight of the entire Library gave even Electrolux pause—not because he had never seen so many books, but because every book sitting quietly on its shelf appeared before him as a stream of information.

At the height of his spiritual perception, he could remember anything he saw with ease. Yet knowledge had never existed in this form before, and his curiosity stirred.

Recognizing that this Library was extraordinary, Electrolux brushed his hand across a book on the shelf. As expected, his hand passed straight through it. He gave a rueful laugh.

He turned to Lu Yi. "I noticed restrictions on some areas. What rules apply here?"

He had not read the contents of any books yet. This was Lu Yi's domain, after all, and he needed the owner's permission.

"None. Read whatever you like!" Lu Yi said without hesitation.

He wanted nothing more than for Electrolux to take an interest in the magic of the Wizarding World. Why would he stop him from reading the books here?

He had been wishing for a good teacher to point him in the right direction, and Electrolux's arrival filled that gap perfectly.

For all he knew, Electrolux might learn the magic here in minutes, then turn around and teach him.

"Then you have my thanks." Electrolux nodded slightly.

He was plainly delighted with the place, unaware that Lu Yi was already plotting how to squeeze every bit of help he could out of him.

This environment replenished the power his soul had lost, but at the cost of suppressing his spiritual perception and transforming his soul into a more rudimentary spirit—what people commonly called a ghost.

This state was temporary, however. Once he left, he would revert to that incomplete, weakened form and have no choice but to sink into slumber. As things stood, he had come out ahead.

This was Lu Yi's first proper meeting with Elder Yi, and he had no intention of lingering. He left the space to him so he could get used to it.

Lu Yi left the Library and withdrew from the mental space.

The scenery around him began to dissolve and fold inward. Lu Yi woke on his dormitory bed with a spellbook in his hand.

But as he opened it to read, he suddenly remembered something important.

What if Elder Yi can't read the writing in these books?

Then again, for someone as powerful as Electrolux, learning a mortal language should take only minutes.

Besides, even if Electrolux truly couldn't read the books, Lu Yi could do nothing about it.

He couldn't translate them word by word and write a dictionary, could he?

Forget it. Back to reading!

In the Sea of Consciousness, Electrolux had already explored the entire Library.

At a rough estimate, it held several hundred thousand books. Excluding duplicates, the total came to nearly a hundred thousand.

With the spiritual perception he had possessed in life, he could have absorbed and mastered their contents in a few breaths.

Now he was a ghost. Though the contents of the books existed as streams of information, he read far more slowly than before. The one advantage was that he could not grow tired in his current state.

Electrolux did not complain. On the contrary, his present condition made him feel as though he had returned to his youth—somewhat clumsy, yet high-spirited and full of hope.

How green I was!

Electrolux went to the shelf on the first floor where Lu Yi had taken a book earlier and focused his mind on a copy of Beginner Standard Spells.

A flood of unfamiliar writing poured into his mind. He concentrated on piecing together the patterns between the characters, drawing on his deep experience to decipher the script of this world.

Six hours later, he let out a long breath of air that did not exist.

"Magic governed purely by the mind? Interesting!"

Lu Yi wasn't sure when he had fallen asleep. Perhaps it was because he had not slept well during the past few days of travel; he had only made it to the second page yesterday.

But it had been a wonderful sleep. For more than ten hours, he hadn't even dreamed.

He got up and took a shower in the washroom at the end of the hall. On his way back, he suddenly heard an argument downstairs.

"Who do you think you are? We just met, and you're already laying down rules? Does your family own Shrek? If you like acting high and mighty, go inside that tree, pull the pavilion master down, and take his seat!"

Those "sweet words" came like a volley of cannon fire. The person on the receiving end couldn't get a word in.

But the old man sunning himself in a recliner outside the dormitory opened his eyes and glanced over. His aged face betrayed nothing.

"That takes some serious nerve!" Lu Yi didn't know who was speaking and couldn't see what was happening downstairs. But when he glanced back at the number on Room 208 beside him, he guessed who was being berated.

Insult her all you want, but you dragged Mu En into it too. Even if he lets that slide, the girl you're insulting is that man's daughter. Kid, you've already found yourself a path to death. Lu Yi couldn't help observing a moment of silence for the unlucky child.

It did seem, though, that his presence had changed the course of events.

"If you don't like it, then fight me! Lose, and you'll do as you're told!" The voice trembled with anger. Its owner could barely keep it lowered.

"Are you crazy? I'm a support-type soul master. Why would I fight you? And if you so much as touch me, I'll report you to the academy's disciplinary office. Then we'll see whether the academy expels you!"

"Y-you... Fine! I didn't want to live with you anyway!"

Angry footsteps receded down the hall. Half a minute later, the voice rang out again.

"You've cleaned your dorm room nicely. Consider this official notice: I'm your roommate from now on. I have a few rules for you. First—"

"No, wait!" Huo Yuhao sounded shocked and baffled. "I don't understand."

"Well, there you go." Lu Yi gave a helpless laugh. "Buddha's great hand has intervened!"

Had he really changed the story?

Apparently so.
