On the other side, Ye Guyi also sensed an aura of Ultimate Light. A layer of pale golden energy surfaced around her, then swiftly grew more dazzling, its color deepening.

Their auras blended perfectly.

As time passed, Xu Tiance's and Ye Guyi's Soul Power began flowing into each other's bodies, forming a strange circuit. It circulated more than twice as fast as Xu Tiance's Soul Power did when he cultivated alone.

Ye Guyi's Soul Power circulation and cultivation speeds did not improve quite as dramatically as Xu Tiance's, but they, too, nearly doubled.

For both of them, this was unquestionably good news.

Xu Tiance's Martial Soul possessed two Ultimate Attributes, Ultimate Light and Ultimate Fire, so his cultivation had always been relatively slow. With Martial Soul Fusion, he could at least maintain a normal cultivation speed. If he developed his Primordial Cells Martial Soul further in the future, the effect might multiply severalfold. The same held true for Ye Guyi's ultimate sacred attribute: this Martial Soul Fusion would greatly accelerate her progress.

A long while later, Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi opened their eyes at the same time, delight shining in both their gazes.

Almost the instant they did, Kong Deming said softly, "It seems you've successfully achieved Martial Soul Fusion. I never expected the two of you to encounter something so rare."

"I'm sure you've noticed that your cultivation will be much faster now. Strictly speaking, though, you've only fused your Soul Power so far. That isn't true Martial Soul Fusion yet."

Kong Deming paused, expectation in his voice. "Xiao Ye, stop the carriage. Let them give it a try."

The soul-tool carriage came to a halt, and Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi climbed down.

After they found a broad stretch of open ground, Kong Deming and Ye Yulin each took two steps back. Unlike Kong Deming, Ye Yulin looked curious.

Kong Deming had lived for a hundred and fifty years. He had traveled far and wide in his youth and naturally seen Martial Soul Fusion Skills before. But to Ye Yulin, who had rarely left the Sun Moon Empire, one was decidedly novel. More than that, he wanted to know what sort of power a Martial Soul Fusion Skill performed by two Ultimate Martial Souls would display.

Xu Tiance took a deep breath and nodded to Ye Guyi. Then he raised his arm and pressed his palm against hers. The instant their palms met, he released his Sun-Moon Radiance Martial Soul, while Ye Guyi released her Holy Angel Martial Soul.

The contact instantly brought the Soul Power in their bodies together. The Golden Sun and Silver Moon that appeared behind Xu Tiance seemed to shine more brilliantly, while dazzling golden light enveloped Ye Guyi from head to toe.

The next moment, everything within a twenty-meter radius lit up, and a peculiar glow woven from gold and silver burst from them.

The glow brimmed with an intense aura of light, mingled with a trace of searing heat, a touch of coolness, and a solemn, weighty sense of holiness.

The Sun-Moon Radiance Martial Soul behind Xu Tiance suddenly expanded. Like a real sun and moon, the two gradually overlapped and intertwined. Behind Ye Guyi, a vast Angel Phantom appeared. Yet it was not the two-winged Holy Angel she currently possessed: this phantom had six wings!

A Six-Winged Angel!

The two enormous figures of light drew together and seemed to fuse completely.

Their combined Soul Power erupted like a geyser, draining every trace of energy from their bodies in an instant. A blazing sacred fire rose from the two figures as they merged.

A colossal Angel Phantom descended over Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi. It, too, had the form of a Six-Winged Angel, with a sun-and-moon mark on its forehead and a huge Angel Holy Sword in its hand. Its wings, however, bore two utterly different colors.

The wings on its left blazed gold, while those on its right gleamed a cool silver-white.

The instant the enormous angel appeared, an immensely powerful aura erupted from it. Even Kong Deming and Ye Yulin, both Titled Douluo, could not help but take notice!

The first attempt at a Martial Soul Fusion Skill took a tremendous toll on both Soul Power and mind. In an instant, Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi toppled backward, their bodies beyond their control. But Kong Deming and Ye Yulin reacted at once, catching them and carrying them back into the carriage. The huge Angel Phantom in the air slowly faded.

"Elder Kong, the power of that Martial Soul Fusion Skill just now..."

Ye Yulin could not help speaking up, shock in his voice, but Kong Deming raised a hand to stop him. He examined Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi one by one. Only after confirming that they had merely exhausted themselves and fainted did he relax.

Xu Tiance and Ye Guyi did not slowly come to until dawn the next day.

Xu Tiance shook his head and met Kong Deming's faintly smiling gaze.

Just before he fainted, he remembered seeing an enormous Angel Phantom. After that, he remembered nothing... He had no idea what kind of power it could unleash.

As a rule, Martial Soul Fusion Skills were never weak, much less one born from the fusion of two Martial Souls with Ultimate Attributes.

As if he had sensed Xu Tiance's thoughts, Kong Deming chuckled. "The fusion skill you two used was remarkably powerful. You only have a little over ten ranks of Soul Power each, yet it would let you defeat several Soul Elder-level opponents head-on. Once you grow stronger, it will only become more fearsome."

"Also, I noticed that Guyi was the one directing your Martial Soul Fusion Skill. You'll be the one controlling that enormous Angel Phantom."

Hearing this, Xu Tiance glanced at Ye Guyi and felt little one way or the other.

He did not care whether he or Ye Guyi held control. To him, even the Martial Soul Fusion Skill was merely flowers added to brocade. What truly mattered—the charcoal delivered in a snowstorm—was the faster cultivation their Martial Soul Fusion had given them.
