Background and History

Xie Xie initially fights alongside Zhou Changxi against Long Yuan. He later defeats Tang Wulin in a match overseen by Wu Zhangkong, cutting through Tang Wulin’s Blue Silver Grass before holding his dagger to Tang Wulin’s throat 19 21. A subsequent duel with the newly arrived Gu Yue ends in Xie Xie’s defeat despite his speed and twin martial souls 25.

He passes Shrek Academy’s entrance assessments with Long Yuan, Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, and Xu Xiaoyan. In one combat assessment he loses his match but earns eight points; all five ultimately gain admission 86. Xie Xie is later admitted to the Inner Court and becomes one of the new-generation Shrek Seven Monsters. The team retains its title after defeating challengers over the required year 238.

At the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament, Xie Xie loses his Round of Sixteen match to Monster Academy’s Lin San. He continues fighting through repeated injuries and attempts a surprise attack with a hidden clone, but Lin San’s speed and wind attacks keep him out of the Top Eight 212 213. Years later, Xie Xie helps rebuild Shrek Academy, confronts soldiers attempting to stop work at Sea God Lake, and participates in the Shrek Seven Monsters’ operations under Tang Wulin 384 601 607.

Personality

Xie Xie can be teasing and outspoken: he grins at Long Yuan and Gu Yue after they sleep through a bus journey, and later jokes about Long Yuan’s visit to Ye Xinglan’s room 67 189. Against Lin San, he refuses to concede despite accumulating injuries 212. He remains loyal to Tang Wulin, immediately following his order during the confrontation with War God Hall 622.

Xie Xie wields the Light Dragon Dagger and Shadow Dragon Dagger, fighting primarily through speed and close-range attacks 19 25.

• His Light Dragon Dagger cuts through Tang Wulin’s Blue Silver Grass, though the unusually tough vines take effort to sever 21.
• Light Dragon Blade, his first soul skill, launches a yellow blade of light that can change direction in flight 25.
• His fourth soul skill, Light Illusion Dragon, forms a massive golden dragon-shaped phantom with an aura of light. He also uses Shadow Illusion Dragon against Lin San 213.

Movement and deception
