Background and History
Xiaoyue served Leng Yaozhu for more than ten years as a cautious, dutiful secretary. Although Yaozhu trusted her, she also controlled the fate of Xiaoyue’s only remaining relative, her younger brother. After witnessing Li Qingyue’s unusual awakening, Xiaoyue was reassigned to accompany him and Na’er to Eastsea City as their assistant and nominal guardian 12. She managed their household and warned Li to conceal his Phoenix Martial Soul from investigators 13 19.
After learning that her brother had died—and that Yaozhu had concealed the truth—Xiaoyue considered killing Li, but did not act. She instead drew pursuers away from him, killed two, and was cut down by a seven-ring Soul Master 27 28. She revived in a morgue with a transformed Martial Soul and a directive to spread the Medicine King’s faith. Her uncontrolled new power later filled a hospital with vines and cured its patients 29 30 37.
Xiaoyue asked Li to revive her brother. He agreed to seek a way and sent her to preach and bring healing to people beyond Eastsea City 37 38 43. She later gathered believers and resources, attacked Tang Sect holdings on his behalf, and survived a Tang Sect attempt to capture her through Li’s intervention 59 71 76 78.
Appearance
Xiaoyue is a young woman initially seen in a business skirt suit and black heels, with an efficient, chilly bearing. After her resurrection, she appears healthier; she later wears her hair in a high ponytail 5 37 63.

Personality
As Yaozhu’s secretary, Xiaoyue is discreet and practical. She prepares the children’s home, takes precautions against investigation, and erases surveillance footage before Li asks her to do so 13 19 27. Her loyalty is complicated by Yaozhu’s control over her brother and, later, by grief and anger over his death 12 27 28.
Her hope of reviving her brother drives her devotion to Li Qingyue. She accepts dangerous assignments and acknowledges the erosion caused by using Abundance’s power, even as Li urges caution 38 60 76. In combat, she remains composed enough to report a Soul Emperor’s death to Li as a completed task 63.
