Ling Yuan Douluo heard no reply from the Phoenix God, nor did the god send her out of the dream.

Ling Yuan Douluo leaped into the air and surveyed her surroundings. This was no single volcanic crater, but an entire Volcanic Cluster.

She activated her Martial Soul Avatar, transforming into a giant Ling Yuan. With a beat of her wings, she climbed higher and finally took in the lay of the land.

Still in her Martial Soul Avatar form, she flew a circuit into the distance, returned above the crater, then made another circuit to the left, right, and rear.

She etched every detail of the surrounding terrain into her mind. Then she plunged downward, straight into the lava inside the crater.

Ling Yuan Douluo felt none of the lava's searing heat. She woke with a start, and only when she looked around did she realize she had truly returned to reality.

When Ling Yuan Douluo woke the next day, she was in no hurry to return to Spirit City. Faced with the temptation of becoming a god, the Demonic Qi in Sunset Forest and the safety of Heaven Dou City's people no longer seemed so important to her.
