• Xiao Shenghe endured the Skyvault Bamboo King's Soul Power pressure for a quarter-hour while Lu Yao supported him, and the king declared that he had passed.
• The Tigerfang Blazing Panda challenged Xiao Shenghe to withstand three strikes, and Xiao Shenghe chose to begin without resting.
• Xiao Shenghe blocked the panda's first strike with Symbiotic Power, then took a glancing hit from its stronger second strike and bled.
• Xiao Shenghe merged his Soul Power with Lu Yao's and used Symbiosis: Protection to withstand the panda's full-strength third strike.

Xiao Shenghe passed the trials of the Tigerfang Blazing Panda and Skyvault Bamboo King and signed a Symbiotic Contract with them, greatly increasing his power. Lu Xuan began the Inheritance Imprint ceremony using the million-year-old Skyvault Bamboo, whose light enveloped Xiao Shenghe.

• The Tigerfang Blazing Panda confirmed that Xiao Shenghe had passed, and the Skyvault Bamboo King agreed to become his symbiotic partner.
• Xiao Shenghe collapsed from exhaustion, and Lu Yao, Lu Xuan, and Lu Xue helped him recover while the two Soul Beasts shared their Soul Power with him.

• Lu Xuan told the group their next destination was Mistveil Valley, where ancient Soul Beast clans might hold a clue about the Secret of Symbiosis.
• Xiao Shenghe sensed that his bond with the Skyvault Bamboo King and Tigerfang Blazing Panda had strengthened, and he briefly used power borrowed from both Soul Spirits.
• Lu Xuan warned the group that Mistveil Valley's fog could cause illusions and guided them through it with a ribbon of Soul Power.
• Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao sensed sounds of fighting ahead, and Lu Xuan decided the group should investigate.
• The group emerged into a clearing and saw Rock Giant Rhinos battling a pack of Windblade Foxes.

Xiao Shenghe used his Symbiotic Power to stop a fight between the Rock Giant Rhino and Windblade Foxes and heal an injured Jadeleaf Butterfly. After learning that a fishy, corrosive smell had spread from the Netherworld Swamp following a tremendous noise, the group set out to investigate.

• Lu Xue, Gu Rong, and Xiao Shenghe identified a foul smell that was driving the Rock Giant Rhino and Windblade Foxes into a frenzy.
• Xiao Shenghe used the Skyvault Bamboo King's power to calm the Soul Beasts and heal the injured Jadeleaf Butterfly.
• The Jadeleaf Butterfly told Xiao Shenghe that a tremendous noise had come from the Netherworld Swamp before the smell spread and nearby Soul Beasts grew aggressive.
• Lu Xuan decided the group should investigate the Netherworld Swamp for the source of the smell and possible clues to the Secret of Symbiosis.
• Xiao Shenghe, Lu Yao, Lu Xuan, Lu Xue, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong headed north as the mist and fishy smell grew stronger.

Xiao Shenghe and his companions entered the Netherworld Swamp and fought a ten-thousand-year Corrupt Poison Tentacle Monster. Xiao Shenghe discovered a strange black energy inside it and tried to draw it out, but the energy began corroding his Soul Power.

• Lu Xue gave the group Purifying Poison Pills as they approached the corrupt poison’s source in the heart of the swamp.
• A Corrupt Poison Tentacle Monster attacked the group, and Chen Xin cut through its tentacles while Gu Rong searched for and dragged its body from the mud.
• Gu Rong bound the ten-thousand-year monster with Bone Vines, and Xiao Shenghe attacked it with Lu Yao’s help.
• Xiao Shenghe found foreign black energy inside the monster and reached into its wound to extract it.
• The black energy corroded Xiao Shenghe’s Symbiotic Power, and Lu Yao offered to help him.

Lu Xuan's group removed Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma from a Corrupt Poison Tentacle Monster and continued into the Netherworld Swamp, where the miasma had driven the hundred-thousand-year Netherworld Poison Dragon into a frenzy. The group fought back with their combined powers, but the dragon continued its attack.

• Lu Yao, Xiao Shenghe, the Skyvault Bamboo King, and the Tigerfang Blazing Panda helped suppress the Corrupt Poison Tentacle Monster's miasma, and Chen Xin purified it with his sword energy.
• Lu Xuan identified the evil energy as Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma, and Lu Xue connected it to the supposedly extinct Soul-Eroding Demon Spider.
• The Corrupt Poison Tentacle Monster died after the miasma was removed, and Lu Xuan urged the group onward to find its source.
• The Netherworld Poison Dragon attacked the group with black poison, and Lu Xuan, Xiao Shenghe, and Lu Yao helped Chen Xin and Gu Rong defend against it.

Xiao Shenghe and his companions purified the Netherworld Poison Dragon, which revealed that the Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma came from the Soul-Eroding Cave. At the cave’s barrier, Xiao Shenghe began purifying the Black Chains and found a weak point at their core.

• The Netherworld Poison Dragon led the group through the swamp to the cave, where they found an entrance sealed by Black Chains and a powerful barrier.
• Jian Chenxin’s sword beam failed to break the barrier, and Gu Rong detected solidified miasma and spatial power in its chains.
• At Lu Xuan’s suggestion, Xiao Shenghe combined his Symbiotic Power with the powers of his Soul Spirits to purify the barrier’s miasma.

Jian Chenxin, Xiao Shenghe, and their allies destroyed the barrier around the Soul-Eroding Cave and confronted the powerful figure behind the Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma. The dark figure attacked with overwhelming force, and the group prepared to use Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao’s Symbiotic Power to weaken him by purifying the miasma within him.

• Xiao Shenghe purified the miasma around the barrier’s central node while Jian Chenxin shattered it with a golden sword strike.
• A dark figure emerged from the Soul-Eroding Cave and revealed that he had created the Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma to turn the Star Dou Great Forest’s Soul Beasts into servants.
• The dark figure targeted Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao for their Clouded Deer’s Secret of Symbiosis and Xiao Shenghe’s two Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Spirits.
• Lu Xue raised a vine screen against the dark figure’s miasma tentacles, and Gu Rong reinforced it with golden-lit Bone Vines.
• Jian Chenxin attacked the dark figure, but his strikes failed to overcome the figure’s defenses, and he judged the enemy to be at least a Peak Douluo.
• Lu Xuan directed Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao to purify the miasma inside the dark figure while the others kept him occupied, but the figure unleashed a barrage of tentacles and mental interference.

Lu Xuan and his allies defeated Mo Chen by purifying the Soul-Eroding Corrupt Miasma that sustained his power. After learning that Mo Chen had shared its cultivation method with people in Spirit Hall, they killed him, leaving the wider threat unresolved.

• Lu Xue shielded everyone from the dark figure’s whispers as Lu Xuan, Jian Chenxin, and Gu Rong pinned him down with their attacks.
• Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao combined their powers into a purifying beam that stripped away the dark figure’s miasma and revealed him as a weakened old man.
• Gu Rong stopped the old man from killing himself, and Lu Xue probed his memories to identify him as Mo Chen, the Corrosive Poison Douluo.
• Lu Xue revealed that Mo Chen had planned to control Soul Beasts and take revenge on Spirit Hall, while Mo Chen warned that he had passed on the miasma’s cultivation method to people there.
• Jian Chenxin killed Mo Chen, and the miasma in the Soul-Eroding Cave began to dissipate as the Netherworld Poison Dragon thanked the group.

Lu Xuan’s group was ambushed by three Spirit Hall Titled Douluo while traveling toward Deer Valley, and a fierce battle broke out. Xiao Shenghe and Lu Yao helped neutralize Poison Thorn Douluo’s poison, but the fight was still underway as Xiao Shenghe held back the eager Tigerfang Blazing Panda.

• Lu Xue estimated that the group would reach Deer Valley in three days, while Jian Chenxin and Gu Rong warned that Spirit Hall might be tracking them.
• Xiao Shenghe sensed Spirit Hall members ahead, and Lu Xuan arranged for Jian Chenxin and Gu Rong to meet them head-on while he and Lu Xue flanked them.
