Mortal Cultivation
- Martial Souls, Soul Power, Soul Rings, and Soul Bones determine a Soul Master’s abilities and development. Soul Rings supply skills, while Soul Bones provide additional powers 2 4 13.
- Rank 95 is described as one step short of Super Douluo; Bone Douluo reaches that category after advancing to rank 96 6 14.
- Rank-99 Peerless Douluo stand at the pinnacle of mortal cultivation. Tang Chen, Qian Daoliu, and Bo Saixi are identified as three surviving Peerless Douluo 3 17 23.
- Domains can strengthen their owners and suppress opponents. Some are obtained through cultivation, while others are inherent to powerful Martial Souls 8.
Divine Oversight
- Deities are forbidden from interfering with lower realms. Punishments can include imprisonment, loss of divine position, or death 18.
- Divine inheritance trials are placed in separate spaces so they do not directly affect the realm 18.
- The gods accompanying Zi Tian conceal their interventions behind claims that they are merely “passing through” 5 11.
- Following the Dragon God War, the Divine Realm forbids Soul Beasts from becoming gods. The Douluo Realm itself has no laws protecting Soul Beasts 14.
- A hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast guarantees a Soul Bone when killed, while its Soul Ring grants two skills. A beast that has taken human form is much easier to capture, making exposure especially dangerous 13.
History and Major Events
Zi Tian’s Unification Mission
The God of Destruction sends his son Zi Tian into the Douluo Realm to unite Douluo Continent through his own abilities. The Goddess of Life sends deities to watch over him, and they secretly build Zi Tian Palace as his headquarters. Zi Tian’s initial difficulty is recruiting followers rather than securing a base 1 5.
Arrival of the Sky Screen
A seven-colored rainbow bridge spans the realm before a colossal Sky Screen appears overhead. It announces the Top Ten Backgrounds Ranking, promising increasingly valuable rewards for higher placements. Its writing appears directly in everyone’s mind, even penetrating Zi Tian’s protections from two God Kings 1 2.
Bibi Dong’s attack fails to reach the screen, and its lightning injures her. Qian Daoliu judges its energy vastly more terrifying than the Angel God Statue’s divine power and orders Spirit Hall not to provoke it 1 2.

Continental Crisis
Xiao Wu’s flight to Zi Tian Palace brings the two empires’ Soul Masters into a border standoff. Qian Renxue’s exposure then puts both empires on a war footing. Their commanders temporarily postpone confrontation after sensing unexplained power from the palace 15 16 19.
Spirit Hall’s internal conflict encourages the Clear Sky Sect to propose an alliance against it. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan supports the proposal and seeks to involve both empires, while Ning Fengzhi postpones his answer to search for Ning Rongrong and Bone Douluo 21.
Asura Succession
Tang Chen regains his senses after years under the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King’s control, destroys Slaughter City, and resumes the Asura God Trial. He credits the Sky Screen for his awakening, although Zi Tian considers its exact cause uncertain 3.
Tang Chen subsequently inherits the Asura God Position in Slaughter Space. The divine surge causes Qian Daoliu and Bo Saixi to suspend their battle and investigate, concerned that a new deity could undermine faith in their respective gods 23 24.
